There are rumors that Liverpool has been keeping tabs on the talented Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich for some time now. Musiala currently plays for Bayern Munich. His recent stellar performances for the German national team have only served to stoke the fires of speculation regarding his future with the team. Both Leroy Sane and Musiala turned in outstanding performances as Germany cruised to a 3-1 victory over the United States Men’s National Team. In particular, Musiala stood out under the direction of Germany’s new coach Julian Nagelsmann by scoring Germany’s third goal and earning praise for his performance.
However, despite his remarkable achievements for the national team, Musiala is having trouble getting playing time at Bayern Munich. This is due to the fact that head coach Thomas Tuchel regularly chooses Thomas Muller over him. It would appear that this condition has caused Musiala a great deal of frustration due to the fact that he desires to play on a more consistent basis.
After having discussions with Hasan Salihamidzic, the previous sports director of Bayern, during the summer, negotiations on a potential extension of Musiala’s contract were tabled. Musiala’s current deal with Bayern is slated to expire in the year 2026. For the time being, Musiala’s squad is taking a wait-and-see approach to the situation in order to observe how Tuchel deals with it in the coming months.
Notable among Musiala’s admirers are Real Madrid and Liverpool, the latter of which is led by Jurgen Klopp, who is mulling over a possible transfer for the player. Additionally, Sane has been considered a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah in some circles.
Musiala’s current annual pay of €8 million is going to be boosted by Bayern, but the 20-year-old would rather get more playing time, especially considering his consistently high level of performance.
