It has been established that our number one player has not yet participated in his final game under Jurgen Klopp’s direction; but, it appears that we will be without him for a considerable amount of time.
We have been without the Brazilian player ever since he sustained an injury prior to the encounter against Brentford, which caused him to be sidelined for an unknown amount of time.
Since then, our ambitions of a return to the cup final and the recovery from the international break have been dashed.
Although it is necessary to acknowledge how fortunate we are, it is also important to note that Caoimhin Kelleher is not only our backup goalkeeper but also a player who has constantly demonstrated that he is deserving of his opportunity to shine at Anfield.
However, we have seen in recent weeks that the 25-year-old is more than capable of helping us out anytime it is required to do so.
Unfortunately for the Irishman, he plays second fiddle to the best goalkeeper in the world.
It would appear that our No. 62 will continue to guard our goal in the weeks and months ahead, which ought to instill confidence in him that he will be able to demonstrate to everyone how good he truly is and enjoy a run of games.
