According to a report from Football Transfers, Chelsea is keen on fortifying their attacking options for the upcoming season, with Dani Olmo emerging as a primary target. The club has initiated discussions to potentially bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Olmo, who initially honed his skills at Barcelona’s esteemed youth academy La Masia, made the transition to Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2014. In a remarkably brief period, he earned a place in the Croatian club’s senior squad. After spending five years there, he made a move to Leipzig in the winter of 2020.

Since joining the German outfit, Olmo has consistently elevated his performances, garnering attention from various clubs across Europe. In the current season, the Spanish international has contributed to 11 goals in 19 appearances.

Despite encountering recent setbacks due to injuries, securing Dani Olmo remains Chelsea’s top priority. His consistent displays over the years have rendered him a highly sought-after player. Chelsea has been monitoring his progress for a while and is steadfast in their pursuit of bringing him to the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The club faces financial constraints and is exploring options to offload Conor Gallagher and Raheem Sterling. With their potential departures, Chelsea recognizes the need to reinforce their attacking arsenal, making Olmo their primary focus.

Olmo’s skill set aligns seamlessly with Chelsea’s style of play, and his versatility only enhances his appeal. Negotiations with RB Leipzig are currently underway to ascertain the financial requirements for his transfer.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino views Olmo as a pivotal addition, particularly given the potential departure of Gallagher.

Although Olmo is contracted until 2027, Chelsea remains confident in their ability to secure his services once they address their financial situation.
