A ‘dream’ transfer has been revealed, and Fabrizio Romano has verified that Chelsea has completed their move for Manchester City’s players who won the treble.

Over the upcoming weeks, several Manchester City players will be representing their nations as they make final preparations for Euro 2024 in Germany, which kicks off on July 15.

Even though the playing squad will be away, Manchester City will remain active in preparation for the next season.

This includes identifying potential transfer targets and evaluating the squad to determine long-term plans for various players.

Former Manchester City player Enzo Maresca has completed a transfer to Chelsea. Just a year after departing from City, Maresca, who previously served as an assistant manager under Pep Guardiola, has been officially appointed as Chelsea’s new head coach.

Following his stint with City, Maresca took charge of Leicester City last season and led them to win the Championship, securing their immediate return to the Premier League.

Despite his success with Leicester, he will now be managing Chelsea instead of leading Leicester against City. Maresca has signed a five-year contract with Chelsea, with an option for an additional year.

Maresca’s possession-based approach, similar to Guardiola’s, reportedly attracted Chelsea’s interest according to MENSport.

This move is considered one of the summer’s surprising transfers. Given Chelsea’s history of frequent managerial changes, Maresca’s performance at Stamford Bridge will be closely watched.

There is some debate about whether he should have gained more experience with Leicester before making such a significant move.

Maresca leveraged his connections at City to bring in defender Callum Doyle on loan to Leicester. However, now that he is at Chelsea, City might be less willing to assist him.

Deniz Undav, a striker for Brighton & Hove Albion, has expressed his ambition to play for Manchester City before retiring. Undav, who struggled to secure a starting spot during his first Premier League season, spent the past season on loan with Stuttgart in the Bundesliga. During his loan spell, he made 30 league appearances, scoring 18 goals and providing 10 assists.

Discussing his future aspirations, Undav mentioned his desire to join Manchester City, highlighting the effort he is willing to put in to achieve this goal.

He told Bild, “Few players would turn down an offer from Bayern. Everyone aspires to play for major teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester City.

I give my all every day to reach that final significant step I hope to take one day.”

MENSport notes that despite Undav’s impressive goal-scoring record in the Bundesliga, he faced challenges in his only Premier League season.

If he hopes to capture Pep Guardiola’s attention in the coming years, he needs to return to Brighton and start scoring goals consistently.

However, the striker faces the challenge of time, as he is now 27 years old and entering his prime. The 2024–2025 season will be crucial for Undav in his pursuit of that “dream” move to Manchester City.
