It has come to our attention that Jorge Jesus, the manager of Al Hilal, is making every effort to get a Barcelona star who has scored more goals than Vini Jr. during the previous competition.

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has recently addressed speculation regarding his future with the club amidst rumors of a potential departure this summer.

The Polish striker, who has a contract with the Spanish giants until 2026, has confirmed his commitment to staying at Barcelona and fulfilling his contract.

This season has been challenging for Barcelona, as their performance has not matched the heights of the previous season.

Currently, they are in second place in La Liga, trailing Real Madrid by 12 points, with one game remaining.

This stark contrast in performance has put pressure on manager Xavi and has seen several key players underperforming.

Last season, Lewandowski won the Pichichi Trophy, but this season he has managed to score only 18 goals in 34 league matches, a figure considered modest by his high standards.

Amidst the club’s financial issues and Lewandowski’s significant salary, rumors of his departure gained traction.

However, Lewandowski dispelled these rumors in an interview with Mundo Deportivo, expressing his clear intent to stay with Barcelona and win more titles. He stated:

“Of course, for me it is super clear. I want to win many titles with Barcelona and I am sure that next season we will be even stronger and we will also win titles.

I always want the best, not just for me, but for my teammates and I am sure that this team will win titles next season because I see what we do each day.

For me that is what matters because this is a club that I hold close to my heart and I want to give a lot for the team and the club.”

Lewandowski joined Barcelona from Bayern Munich in 2022 and quickly made an impact by leading them to a La Liga title in his first season. Since his arrival, the 35-year-old striker has scored 58 goals in 94 appearances for the club.

Additionally, Lewandowski has spoken about the significant impact of Gavi’s absence due to injury.

The young midfielder, who suffered an ACL injury while playing for Spain in November, had only played 12 league matches this season before his layoff.

In an interview with Marca, Lewandowski emphasized Gavi’s importance to the team, despite his youth, having already made over 100 appearances for Barcelona. He remarked:

“From the beginning we knew that we would miss him. He is a type of player who, when the game is not going well, with his movements and aggressiveness, lifts the team up.

A squad needs these types of players and that is why we miss him. But we don’t have him, and now what we can do is wait for him to come back.

He is a special player, since I arrived I saw that he had something that the team needs. He has talent and aggressiveness.”

Gavi is expected to recover in time for the pre-season, but he will not participate in Euro 2024 with Spain.

Both Gavi and the club are hopeful for his strong return next season to aid Barcelona in their pursuit of titles.
