PSV Eindhoven have expressed interest in signing the young Dutch defender, who spent last season on loan with Mainz. However, Liverpool’s €20 million valuation is proving to be a stumbling block.

According to Voetbal International, Van den Berg is eager to join PSV, the reigning Dutch Eredivisie champions, to secure regular first-team football.

He believes that his chances of breaking into Liverpool’s first team next season are slim, given the presence of established players like Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez, and Jarell Quansah.

With only two years left on his contract, Van den Berg feels that Liverpool’s asking price is too high.

His representatives are now urging the club to reconsider and reduce the fee, making his desire to leave clear.

Van den Berg has spent much of his time at Liverpool on loan, struggling to make a significant impact at Anfield.

His potential move to PSV represents an opportunity for more consistent playing time and career development.
