Slot’s remarks provided insight into the significant reasons behind Liverpool’s struggles in the match, helping to settle doubts about whether he acknowledged the key factors contributing to the loss.

The match, which saw Taiwo Awoniyi’s first-half goal secure all three points for Nottingham Forest, was a frustrating one for Liverpool.

Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, the Reds were unable to find the back of the net. In his post-match interview, Slot did not shy away from discussing the problems that led to the defeat.

One of the major points Slot highlighted was the team’s lack of clinical finishing. “We had enough chances to score, but we weren’t sharp enough in the final third,” Slot said.
