It has recently come to our attention that Mohamed Salah has been confronted with a shocking and distressing piece of news.

The Egyptian star’s contract at Anfield expires at the end of the season, and there has been no indication of a new deal being offered to the 32-year-old.

Saudi Arabia aims to capitalize on Salah’s situation, with interest that dates back to last summer when Al Ittihad aggressively pursued him. Liverpool rejected substantial offers to keep him at the club.

In June 2024, Al Ittihad resumed discussions, hoping that Jurgen Klopp’s departure might sway Salah’s decision, though the likelihood of a transfer remained low.

As Salah is set to become a free agent in 2025, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) is adjusting its approach to secure a pre-contract agreement by January or February. Sources indicate that the PIF is preparing a lucrative 2+1-year contract with a remarkable salary.

Salah has been in discussions with Saudi clubs for years, and a formal offer from the PIF is expected soon. There is considerable confidence in Saudi Arabia that the Liverpool star will accept the terms, potentially paving the way for his arrival in the 2025/26 season.

While Al Ittihad is a leading contender, other clubs under the PIF, including Al Hilal, Al Nassr, and Al Ahli, are also in the running for his signature.

Liverpool is preparing for the potential departure of Mohamed Salah at the end of the season, making the task of replacing the iconic forward a challenging one. The 32-year-old has amassed an impressive 216 goals and 93 assists in 357 appearances for the club, including five goals and four assists this season.

CaughtOffside reports that Liverpool has identified Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo as a key target to succeed Salah. Additionally, Bundesliga players Karim Adeyemi and Leroy Sané are also on the club’s radar.

The upcoming months will be critical for these potential replacements as Salah’s time at Liverpool nears its conclusion.
