It has come to our attention that Manchester City’s most important player has expressed his desire to join Liverpool and take Mo Salah’s place. This comes after the club was punished for 116 charges, and he believes that City will be relegated.

The 2024/25 season is shaping up to potentially be Mohamed Salah’s final one at Liverpool, as Saudi Arabian clubs are already preparing to make a move to sign him as a free agent early next year.

The Egyptian star’s contract at Anfield expires at the end of the season, and so far, no new deal has been offered to the 32-year-old.

Saudi Arabia is looking to capitalize on this situation, with their interest in Salah being longstanding.

Last summer, Al Ittihad made aggressive attempts to sign him, but Liverpool rejected significant offers to keep him at the club.

In June 2024, Al Ittihad reopened discussions, hoping that Jurgen Klopp’s potential departure could influence Salah’s decision to leave. However, the likelihood of a transfer remained low.

Now, with Salah set to become a free agent in 2025, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) is shifting its approach, aiming to secure a pre-contract agreement with the Liverpool star by January or February.

Sources have told *CaughtOffside* that the PIF is preparing a lucrative 2+1-year contract offer with a massive salary.

Salah has been in contact with Saudi clubs for years, and in the coming weeks, the PIF is expected to present its formal offer.

There is strong confidence in Saudi Arabia that the Liverpool icon will agree to the terms ahead of a potential move for the 2025/26 season.

While Al Ittihad remains a leading contender, other clubs under the PIF—such as Al Hilal, Al Nassr, and Al Ahli—are also possible destinations.

As Salah’s departure looms, Liverpool faces the tough challenge of replacing the legendary winger.

With 216 goals and 93 assists in 357 appearances for the club—including five goals and four assists this season—Salah continues to perform at an elite level.

*CaughtOffside* reports that Liverpool is eyeing Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo as a top target to replace Salah, with Bundesliga stars Karim Adeyemi and Leroy Sane also on their radar.

The coming months will be pivotal as Salah’s era at Liverpool draws to a close.
