Chelsea’s press conferences this season are always going to be a bit mangled because of the Thursday night games.
Enzo Maresca will seemingly regularly take his Friday pressers after the Conference League games, with the embargo lifted Friday afternoon.
Last night’s wasn’t too interesting – but we did get the coach’s thoughts when he was asked whether he was deliberately trying to “bring calm” to the club after so much upheaval.
Maresca was pretty blunt as ever, saying he just ignored the outside noise, as he can’t control it. “I don’t care about it.”
“I like to be focused on the things that I can control,” he stated, pretty plainly.
He claimed to already be thinking about today’s training session. In reality, that’s just what we want from a manager, and Enzo is doing a great job of it already.
