Manchester United are reportedly confident in securing the signing of Rosenborg’s highly-rated 17-year-old midfielder Sverre Nypan.
According to TBR Football, Rosenborg have already informed Nypan that he is free to pursue a move, and Manchester United are optimistic about finalizing a deal.
The teenager, regarded as one of Europe’s brightest prospects, is expected to cost around £10 million, with the total fee potentially reaching £20 million, including bonuses. If completed, Nypan would become Ruben Amorim’s first signing at Old Trafford.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have also shown interest in the Norwegian starlet and have reportedly been in contact with his representatives. However, Manchester United appear to be leading the race for his signature.
Nypan is viewed as a promising long-term investment and could develop into a key player for the Red Devils in the coming years.
Known for their success in nurturing young talent, Manchester United could provide the ideal platform for Nypan to realize his potential, offering opportunities to compete for major trophies and gain valuable exposure to English football.
Despite United’s optimism, Arsenal and Liverpool remain strong contenders. Both clubs are in need of reinforcements in midfield and could be attractive destinations for Nypan. It remains to be seen whether they will submit official offers to challenge Manchester United’s pursuit.
For the young midfielder, a move to the Premier League could be a significant step in his development and a chance to make his mark on one of Europe’s biggest stages.
