Winning 11, drawing, and losing once in the 13 league games, Liverpool has left Pep Guardiola’s team far behind with 11 points less than the Reds, after four straight losses for the Citizens in the league.

Even though Liverpool has been with injuries since the start of the season, this has not been a problem for the Dutch manager who is having a fantastic start of the season in all the competitions.

Currently, Liverpool is missing Diogo Jota who has a chest injury and is expected to return to the pitch this month. Conor Bradley who replaced Trent Alexander-Arnold as a starter in the match against Real Madrid has received a muscle injury and won’t be available for Liverpool’s next matches.

Alisson Becker also left the pitch in pain in the 1-0 win against Crystal Palace, and his return could take longer than expected, but his replacement, Caoimhin Kelleher has been exceptional for Liverpool.

Kostas Tsimikas who had a lot of minutes under Arne Slot replacing Andrew Robertson has received an ankle injury and won’t be available in the upcoming weeks.

Liverpool’s main defender, Ibrahima Konate, was seen leaving Anfield on crutches after the match against Manchester City and his return will take a lot of time. The Frenchman is expected to miss more than 10 games for the Reds, which could be a key factor on the team’s success this season.

Ibrahima Konate sustained a knee injury in the last Champions League win against Real Madrid minutes before full-time after Endrick tackled him more than three times before the player went to the ground due to the pain.

One day after the injury, the player posted on his social media, informing everyone about his situation and how frustrating it is to receive bad news after an incredible Champions League night at Anfield.

Konate also said that the healing process had started and he promised that he would come back once again to continue his amazing form for the Reds.

Even though some players are not available, Arne Slot and the players continue to put on a great performance every match, which shows the high quality that the team has to go for all the trophies this season.
