Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has just disclosed the severity and condition of Lisandro Martinez’s injury.

The match was further marred by an injury to Manchester United’s central defender, Lisandro Martínez. In the second half, Martínez sustained a serious knee injury and was carried off the pitch on a stretcher.Â

Following the match, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes addressed the media regarding Martínez’s injury. He stated, “Lisandro is a warrior, and to see him go down like that is hard for all of us. We don’t know the full extent yet, but it looks serious. We just hope it’s not as bad as it seems.”

Fernandes emphasized the impact of Martínez’s injury on the team’s morale, saying, “He’s been a rock for us at the back. Losing him is a big blow, but we have to stay strong and support him through this.”

The injury to Martínez adds to Manchester United’s defensive concerns, especially considering their recent struggles in the Premier League. The team has now suffered 11 defeats this season, with this loss marking their first in four games. 

Manager Ruben Amorim acknowledged the team’s defensive frailties, stating, “We need to address these issues quickly. Injuries like Lisandro’s are part of the game, but we must find ways to cope and improve.”
