Jurgen Klopp just agrees an offer from chelsea and snubs man united after leaving liverpool

Jurgen Klopp has once again proven his unwavering loyalty to Liverpool by reportedly turning down approaches from bitter rivals Chelsea and Manchester United after stepping down from Anfield in the summer of 2024, according to explosive claims from his long-time agent Marc Kosicke.

The German icon, who departed the Reds after a trophy-laden nine-year spell that delivered the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Club World Cup, and more, chose a sabbatical from frontline management before taking up his current role as Global Head of Soccer at the Red Bull group in early 2025. Despite the high-profile break, interest in his services hasn’t dried up — but Klopp’s stance remains crystal clear.

In an exclusive interview with Transfermarkt (widely reported across outlets like The Athletic, Daily Mail, Goal.com, and Liverpool Echo), Kosicke revealed that both Chelsea and Manchester United made enquiries about the possibility of Klopp taking over their hot seats post-Anfield. However, the 58-year-old legend shut them down immediately.

“Even Chelsea and Manchester United inquired, although Jürgen had clearly stated that he would not coach any other club in England,” Kosicke said. “These enquiries keep coming. He’s extremely happy with what he’s achieved. And it’s still wonderful to go down in history as one of the few coaches who only managed three clubs and were never fired.”

Kosicke also disclosed that Klopp could have taken national team roles with the USA or England (and potentially Germany if Julian Nagelsmann hadn’t been in place) before opting for his Red Bull position — but he prioritized stepping away from the intense day-to-day pressures of coaching.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea have strongly denied making any formal approaches or enquiries to Klopp or his representatives, with The Athletic noting that the clubs rejected the claims when contacted for comment. Despite the denials, the agent’s comments have ignited fierce debate among fans, with many Reds supporters celebrating Klopp’s loyalty as a masterclass in class and commitment.

The revelations come at a time when Klopp’s legacy at Liverpool continues to loom large — especially under current boss Arne Slot, who’s building on the foundations Klopp laid while navigating his own challenges. Social media has exploded with reactions: “Klopp turning down United and Chelsea? That’s pure love for LFC ❤️,” one viral post read, while others joked about the “circus clubs” not standing a chance.

Klopp himself has previously hinted that a return to management isn’t off the table forever — telling The Diary of a CEO podcast it’s “theoretically possible” he could one day manage again, perhaps even back at Anfield — but for now, he’s content in his strategic, less stressful role at Red Bull, overseeing football operations across their network.

Kosicke left a small door ajar for the future: “Maybe at some point he’ll say he needs to smell the locker room again. But at the moment he’s very, very happy in his role.”

For Liverpool fans, this latest chapter only reinforces why Klopp remains “Our Manager” in hearts and minds — a man who won everything with the club and refuses to manage anywhere else in England. The snub to rivals? Chef’s kiss.
