Andre, a midfielder for Fluminense, has officially declared that during the summer transfer window, he had an offer from a “major European club,” which he later confirmed to be Liverpool. Andre’s disclosure comes after he later revealed that Liverpool was the “major European club.” The 22-year-old Brazilian international was reportedly valued at approximately £25.6 million, but Fluminense elected to keep the midfield star for the duration of the season after turning down an approach from Liverpool.

The fact that Fluminense is conducting a campaign throughout the entire year had a role in the club’s decision to keep Andre on the roster. The club wanted Andre to remain a member of the team so that he could assist them in their quest to win the Copa Libertadores. Because to this, they have advanced to the championship game, which will take place on November 4 versus Boca Juniors.

Andre recognized the offer in an interview with the official CONMEBOL channel, but he stated that he has decided to continue his career with Fluminense for the foreseeable future. His decision highlights his commitment to the team’s current campaign as well as his role in the group’s drive to win the Copa Libertadores.

“We had no idea that kind of offer would come up, and regardless of the circumstances, I intend to remain here until December.”

Following a number of months of competition, we found ourselves competing in the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores during the summer season in Europe. It was a very challenging decision to make. If I had accepted that offer, I’m not sure if I would have been able to say that I was entirely at ease with who I am.

“Because I had faith in Diniz, and he respects both your word and your candor,” you said.

He says on a regular basis that we will be successful in achieving our goals if we adhere to the established protocols. In January, he gave me his word that if I remained with the company, I would continue to play, and my value would continue to rise, all without my having to think about it or worry about whether or not I was doing it correctly.

There have been rumors circulating that Liverpool plans to make another offer for Andre in the month of January. Because he would be taking a holiday in the middle of the season, the midfielder should have won the Copa Libertadores by that time and should have the medal to prove it.

Despite the fact that Liverpool wants him to go this summer, Andre is adamantly unwilling to do so. He said that he was content with his choice and restated his conviction that “a lot of things can happen” during the upcoming transfer window for the winter. This suggests that he is open to the possibility of signing with a European team at some point in the foreseeable future.

It’s possible that our team would have been eliminated in the round of sixteen. It was a decision that was forced upon me,” he continued.

“At this juncture, everyone will acknowledge that the decision I made was the right one.

It did not matter to me whether or not we stayed [in it]; I am entirely at ease with the decision that we made to stay. I believe that it was a show of loyalty to continue working toward winning the Libertadores and make those efforts.

“Right now, we have to put in an incredible amount of effort in order to win this title, and I have no idea what will take place at the conclusion of the year.

“Many things can happen, but I’m convinced that being here and knowing everything went smoothly will tremendously benefit both my job and me personally. This is because many things can happen.

After getting all of the call-ups for the national team for the year, I remarked something along the lines of, “I believe that, as Diniz said, good things always happen when we do the right things, be loyal, and be honest,” and that was after obtaining all of the call-ups.
