After the takeover of Manchester United this morning, it has been confirmed that the most significant piece of information so far regarding Ten Hag’s future has been made public.

Although the final specifics of the arrangement have not yet been ironed out, Ratcliffe and the Glazer family have reached an agreement on the outlines of a transaction whereby Ratcliffe will purchase 25 percent of the club’s shares with the intention of eventually taking over the club completely from the Glazer family in the future.

The creator of INEOS, whose company now owns the French side Nice, has expressed interest in taking an active position at United and has drafted plans for a leadership committee to govern the club’s commercial operations. The founder is eager to get his hands dirty with United.

Even though negotiations are still taking place behind the scenes and a deal has not yet reached a stage where it can be put to a vote by the club’s shareholders, there is optimism that Ratcliffe will eventually succeed in completing his minority buyout of the team.

When Ten Hag was asked if he had any prior knowledge of the discussions, he replied that the sole purpose of his position is to manage football matches.

Ten Hag responded, “No [he has not been kept informed],” to this question. “So I’m not involved in this, others in the club are dealing with this. “I’m focusing on my team, focusing on the current block, and the next game is the most important objective for me right now.” It boils down to that in the end.”

Okpops has it on good authority that Ratcliffe has aspirations of being a part of a three-person leadership committee alongside Sir Dave Brailsford, who is the director of sport for INEOS, and Joel Glazer, who is the current co-chairman of United.

The athlete, who is 71 years old, has every intention of drawing from his many years of experience in the sphere of sports, and he is also eager to surround himself with experts. Paul Mitchell, who served as the sporting director of Monaco previously, is one of the candidates under consideration for the new board.

Although Ratcliffe has made it plain that he still wants a full takeover of the club and is seeking assurances about the purchase of future shares, he did modify his first bid to buy the club in order to give the Glazers a chance to continue working at Old Trafford. However, Ratcliffe did this in order to give the Glazers an opportunity to remain at Old Trafford.
