After a relatively quiet transfer market in January, Liverpool is currently evaluating their options in preparation for what might be a very busy summer ahead of them.
Not only is the team in the process of recruiting a replacement for Jurgen Klopp, but it is also possible that they are getting ready to release Mohamed Salah.
There were a lot of rumors going around regarding the Egyptian during the summer of last year, and it was rumored that Saudi Arabia made a substantial cash offer to the Reds in an effort to convince them to part with their star striker.
Al-Ittihad made an amazing offer of 150 million pounds for the player, who is now 31 years old, but they were unable to acquire their dream player.
On the other hand, Liverpool is preparing potential contenders to take his place in the event that he decides to leave, and they are also getting ready to receive new offers at the conclusion of this season.
In June of 2025, Salah’s deal is scheduled to expire; Liverpool’s only two options are to cash in on his contract or to extend his terms, but it is unclear whether he will depart the club this summer.
Let him complete out his contract and then go for free the next year. This is not an option that may be considered.
It has been reported by the Spanish daily Fichajes that the Reds are considering making a move for two players from Barcelona who would be suitable for the position in the event that Salah leaves.
Liverpool is reportedly taking a “proactive stance” and has identified Ansu Fati and Raphinha as potential targets. This information comes from publications.
As part of their “proactive” endeavor to find a replacement for Mo Salah, Liverpool is “preparing an imminent offer” for the winger who is valued at 54 million pounds.
Following his transfer from Leeds United to Barcelona in 2022 for a fee of £55 million, Raphinha had a successful debut season, during which he scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists.
It is now “not guaranteed” that he will be included in the squad, and Liverpool is “considering” the possibility of adding him in place of Salah.
The report claims that the Reds are “preparing an imminent bid” for Raphinha.
This is according to the current situation. There is no information available on the amount of the fee, nor is it known whether or not Barca will accept their offer.
Another player that Liverpool might potentially acquire is Fati, who is now playing for Brighton, a club that competes in the Premier League.
The manner in which he excels with the Seagulls throughout the current season will determine whether or not Liverpool considers him to be a suitable substitute for Salah.
Through the course of this season, Fati has only made 18 appearances for Brighton across all competitions.
In those 18 games, he has scored four goals and provided one assist. In spite of the fact that the 21-year-old is a left winger by trade, he is also capable of playing attacking midfield and center forward positions.
Raphinha is most comfortable playing on the right wing, but she is capable of playing on either spot.
