After storming down the tunnel at full-time, Erling Haaland wrote an expletive-filled statement on social media. He was so enraged by this that he stormed down the tunnel to express his anger.

Since then, the Football Association has stated that City was unable to control how their players reacted, but they have stated that they will not directly discipline Haaland. Meanwhile, the PGMOL has made a decision about whether or not Simon Hooper will serve as a judge once more this week.

Following the contentious tie that City played with Tottenham, Haaland posted something on social media that appeared to be critical of the judges responsible for the match. There will be no consequences for him as a result of this, but the Blues are being accused of failing to maintain control over their players.

Nevertheless, the aftermath of the game was overshadowed by referee Simon Hooper’s late decision to stop a counterattack in the 94th minute for a foul, despite the fact that Jack Grealish was sent through on goal.

Following the foul committed against Haaland, Hooper first instructed the squad to continue playing; nevertheless, the striker got up to set up Grealish for what could have been the game-winning goal for City. Guardiola, the manager of City, declined to criticize Hooper after the game, stating that the official’s decision had no bearing on the outcome of the match. On the other hand, he did mention that Hooper would be dissatisfied with his decision when viewed in retrospect.
