Martinelli, who is now 22 years old, made multiple trips to United during his time in the academy, with the most recent meeting taking place when he was 17 years old.

The winger, however, was never accepted into the academy at Old Trafford while he was playing for Ituano, a Brazilian team that competes in the fourth division of international football.

Despite the fact that he has recalled the challenges he encountered during his trial for “a club the size of Manchester United,” the player who is now playing for Arsenal feels that everything transpired for a specific reason.

When you are given a trial, you tend to believe that everything is going to go according to plan.

When you’re at a club as big as Manchester United, it’s enough to make you anxious,” he said in an interview with ESPN Brazil.

However, everything that occurs has a purpose. On the contrary, I was at Arsenal, which was not where I was supposed to be.

And I was able to move to Arsenal because everything worked out for me.

Following his eventual transfer to Arsenal in 2019, the Brazilian would eventually become a regular member of the first squad under the direction of the current manager, Mikel Arteta.

This season, Martinelli has contributed seven goals and three assists to the Gunners’ success, which has allowed them to take the third spot in the Premier League table.

United, on the other hand, are currently in sixth position, five points behind Aston Villa, whom they defeated by a score of 2-1 over the weekend.
