The Egyptian forward, who scored one goal and provided three assists in the match, made a remarkable return to the starting lineup after his absence since Liverpool’s win against Newcastle on New Year’s Day.

Manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed Salah’s readiness for the upcoming fixture at Old Trafford, highlighting his pivotal role in the team.

However, Klopp expressed concerns regarding the fitness of Ibrahima Konate, who missed training on the day of the press conference.

Klopp indicated that Konate’s availability for the match remains uncertain, stating, “A tight, tight race that we will probably lose.”

Additionally, Klopp provided updates on other players’ fitness, mentioning Bobby Clark’s swelling and Ryan Gravenberch’s availability after training.

Looking ahead, Klopp outlined a plan for the return of several key players after the upcoming break. Curtis Jones is expected to return first, followed by Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold in subsequent weeks.

Klopp also addressed Stefan Bajcetic’s situation, emphasizing the need to ensure the young defender’s readiness before reintroducing him to the squad, citing concerns about his ability to cope with the intensity of matches.
