This is because two key players, who were supposed to be the main man against Chelsea, sustained a career-ending injury in the game against Brentford. This is yet another significant injury setback for Erig Ten Hag, as the player is expected to be out until the following year.

Casemiro, Harry Maguire, and Lisandro Martinez were all absent from the international matches that took place this month.

As a result of not having sufficient time to train, they were all forced to sit on the bench and did not participate in the game.

Before Thursday’s match against Chelsea, Erik ten Hag still needs to address a few concerns over injuries they may have sustained.
