The time period has come to an end! After playing in 531 matches and spending 41,410 minutes on the field, it is now undeniable that Manchester United is currently experiencing a period of dormancy. 😳

Unfortunately, Bruno Fernandes will not be able to play for Manchester United in their upcoming encounter against Crystal Palace, which brings an end to his remarkable streak at the club.

At Selhurst Park, Manchester United is scheduled to continue their Premier League season against Crystal Palace; however, the influential Fernandes will not be there for the match.

Given his length of service with the club, this is the very first occasion that he has been forced to miss a game due to an injury.

Fernandes has been a steady presence on the field ever since he joined United from Sporting CP in January of 2020. He has amassed an amazing 230 appearances across a variety of competitions.

However, his streak of continuous play has been broken, since he had previously missed only four league games due to illness or suspension. This is a significant change from his prior performance.

Mason Mount takes over as the team’s captain for this vital encounter versus Palace, while Fernandes is replaced by Casemiro. Casemiro is also assumed the role of captain.

When asked about his future, Fernandes responded, “I’m currently focused on the FA Cup and Euro 2024 with Portugal.” This statement was made in the midst of discussions over changing the squad.

There is no way to know what will happen in the future, and it is not only up to me. Both sides need to have a strong desire for the player to remain. At this very moment, I am experiencing that yearning from both sides.

Even though Fernandes is aware of the difficulties that have been encountered this season, both on an individual and a collective level, he continues to be dedicated to the present and places an emphasis on upcoming events such as the FA Cup and Euro 2024.

Any choices that are made regarding his future in the Premier League will not be considered until after these key events have taken place.
