Due to an injury, Axel Disasi, who plays for Chelsea, has withdrawn from the France squad that was supposed to play the Netherlands in a qualifying match for the European Championship and play Scotland in a friendly match in October.
Didier Deschamps was forced to make a late substitution for a number of injured players on the France national team, including William Saliba, Jules Kounde, and Dayot Upamecano. The former Monaco player was called up to the team as a late replacement.
Disasi appeared to be fine after playing through what appeared to be a knock for the entirety of Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday. He was able to play all 90 minutes of the game. Although the exact cause of the condition is unknown at this time, all evidence point to it being a quadriceps issue.
This season, the 25-year-old has been one of the primary center backs for Chelsea, along with Thiago Silva. This is due to the fact that both Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile have been sidelined with injuries.
Fans of Chelsea Football Club, on the other hand, will be praying that the severity of the player’s injury isn’t so serious that it prevents him from playing against Arsenal after the international break.
